General terms and conditions of sale

Article 1 : The owner undertakes to welcome guests with all due care to facilitate their stay and knowledge of the region.

Article 2 - length of stay : The customer who signs the present contract concluded for a fixed period may under no circumstances avail himself of any right to remain in the premises.

Article 3 - Reservation and conclusion of contract : The reservation becomes effective once the customer has sent the owner 100% of the total price of the stay. In the case of telephone bookings, we require 100% of the booking fee within a maximum of 7 days. Once payment has been received in full, the reservation becomes firm and definitive. Prices include all charges, but exclude tourist tax (€0.50/person/night).
By paying, you confirm your full agreement with our terms and conditions. Please note that if payment is not received by the due date, the reservation will not be confirmed and we therefore reserve the right to re-let the room(s).

Article 4 - No right of withdrawal: For bookings made by post, telephone or internet, the tenant does not benefit from the right of withdrawal period, in accordance with article L121-21-8 of the French Consumer Code relating in particular to the provision of accommodation services supplied on a specific date or at a specific time.

Article 5 - Modification and cancellation by the customer :
Any modification or cancellation must be notified by letter or e-mail to the owner.
Please note that cancellation insurance is not included in our rates. We therefore recommend that you take out such insurance.
a) Changes before the start of your stay : Any modification is only possible with the agreement of the "Maison de Pagneux" and may result in additional charges.
b) Cancellation before the start of the stay :
- If cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the start of the stay, the total amount of the stay will be refunded to the customer.
- If cancellation occurs between 30 and 14 days before the start of the holiday, 50% of the total cost of the holiday will be refunded.
- If cancellation occurs less than 14 days before the start of the holiday, 100% of the total cost of the holiday is retained by Maison de Pagneux.
c) If the customer does not show up before 9 p.m. on the day scheduled for the start of the stay, the present contract becomes null and void and the owner may dispose of his guest rooms. The total amount of the payment remains the property of the owner.
d) In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the initial stay remains the property of the owner.
e) Any additional services not used will be reimbursed, with the exception of meals.

Article 6 - Cancellation by the owner: If, before the start of the stay, the owner cancels the stay for reasons beyond his control (technical, human, health, sanitary), he must immediately inform the customer by e-mail.
The customer will then be reimbursed immediately and in full for any sums already paid within 30 days of receipt of a bank details slip. Under no circumstances will the customer be entitled to claim any financial or other compensation, whatever the prejudice to the customer.

Article 7 - Arrival (check-in): The customer must arrive on the day specified at the time of booking, no earlier than 5pm (when rooms are available and keys handed over) and no later than 8pm. Customers must inform us of their arrival time the day before, and it is imperative that they call us if they are forced to arrive after this time.

Article 8 - Breakfast : Breakfast will be served either in the dining room or on the outside terraces, at the owner's discretion.
Breakfast times are as follows:
- From 7:30 a.m. on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and 8:30 a.m. on weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Arrival until 10:00 am at the latest (closing at 10:30 am).
No breakfast can be served in the room or outside these times, except by special dispensation from the owner.
If the customer does not wish to have breakfast, he/she cannot request a special financial discount, as breakfast is included in the price of the room (fixed price).

Article 9 - Check-out: Check-out time for rooms is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the latest. Keys must be handed in personally.

Article 10 - Payment of balance: Where applicable, the balance of the stay must be paid on arrival with the owner.
Consumption and additional services not mentioned in the price of the stay are to be paid at the end of the stay to the owner.

Article 11 - tourist tax : The tourist tax is a local tax that the customer must pay to the owner, who then pays it to the Treasury.

Article 12 - Use of the premises :
The customer must respect the peaceful nature of the premises and use them in accordance with their intended purpose.
In particular, guests are asked not to smoke or vapourize in the rooms, communal areas or swimming pool.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay, and to systematically declare - and pay for - any damage for which he/she is responsible.
Please note that the kitchen is not available to guests.
The owner accepts no responsibility for the loss or theft of guests' property.
The swimming pool is open in season from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, under the guests' responsibility. During the day, between 11am and 5pm, the pool is reserved exclusively for overnight guests. The pool may be temporarily closed for maintenance or exceptional circumstances (technical problems, water temperature, power cuts, water cuts, flooding). The customer will not be entitled to any compensation in this case.
La Maison de Pagneux is not suitable for babies or children under the age of 12.
Customers' attention is drawn to the fact that minors on the property are under the sole and entire responsibility of their parents or guardians.
For guests with children, access to the swimming pool is only permitted under the supervision and in the presence of parents or guardians. Jumping, diving and splashing outside the pool are prohibited. Failure to comply with these rules may result in a ban on access to the pool.

Article 13 - Change of rooms :
Without the customer being entitled to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially booked by the customer for a room of the same or greater capacity. In this case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.

Article 14 - capacity : A maximum of 2 people may stay in each room. The present contract is drawn up for a specific number of people. If the number of guests exceeds this number, the owner is entitled to refuse additional guests.
No extra beds may be installed in the rooms.
This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of contract on the owner's initiative, so that in the event of the departure of a number of guests greater than those refused, no reimbursement can be considered.

Article 15 - Animals: The present contract specifies that animals are not permitted. Should the customer fail to comply with this clause, the owner may refuse to accept the animals. This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of contract on the owner's initiative, so that in the event of the customer's departure, no reimbursement can be considered.

Article 16 - Modification of conditions of sale : The present conditions of sale may be modified at any time and without prior notice. Acceptance of and compliance with these conditions of sale are deemed to have been acquired as soon as payment for the holiday has been made.

Article 17 - French Data Protection Act: In accordance with the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, you have the right to access and correct your personal data. Under no circumstances will we pass on the information you provide to other companies or organizations.
